SMART Announces New Vice President of Sales
Tiina Moore assumes leadership of SMART’s product sales
Calgary, AB – June 9, 2004 – SMART Technologies Inc. announces the appointment of Tiina Moore as vice president of sales. A Calgary resident, Moore will be responsible for working with SMART’s channel partners, end users, major accounts and OEM accounts to expand the market for SMART products.
Before her appointment, Moore was vice president, sales and marketing, at ICOM Productions, an e-learning services company. She has held several senior positions at Transcanada Pipelines, Union Pacific Resources, Norcen Energy Resources and IBM Canada.
Moore replaces John Deutsch, who enters retirement after 12 years at SMART. During Deutsch’s tenure, the company established a strong foundation for North American sales of its interactive whiteboard products. Deutsch leaves having developed a channel that includes some of the industry’s strongest and best-known audiovisual companies as key resellers of SMART products. With a strong leadership position in sales to education, corporate, military and government, SMART has the clear number one spot in the interactive whiteboard industry in North America as well as worldwide.
